Gizmoop vs MoneyThumb
Long-established conversion tools billed per conversion rather than per page, with a strong presence among lenders.
Pick MoneyThumb if…
Choose MoneyThumb if you are underwriting loans and want tooling built around cash-flow analysis, or if you convert so rarely that per-conversion pricing is simplest.
Pick Gizmoop if…
Choose us if you convert regularly, your statements vary in length, or you want the extraction checked against the statement’s own arithmetic before you rely on it.
Published prices
Monthly prices are not comparable when the allowances differ, so the per-page rate is worked out from each vendor’s own published numbers.

What MoneyThumb does better
Purpose-built tools for lending
They have specific products for cash-flow analysis and income verification, aimed at underwriters rather than bookkeepers. If that is the job, a tool designed around it beats a general converter.
Established, and trusted where it counts
They have been in this market a long time and are known within lending in particular, where the people evaluating a tool are often the same people who will be asked to justify it to a compliance function. A vendor with years of history behind it is easier to defend in that conversation than a new one, and no feature list changes that. We cannot match it and will not pretend the consideration is unimportant.
Per-conversion pricing genuinely suits occasional use
If you convert one statement a quarter, paying for that one statement is simpler than any subscription, including ours — there is nothing to remember to cancel and nothing wasted in the months you do not use it. A monthly plan only starts to make sense once conversions are regular enough that the allowance is used, and below that threshold their model is the honest answer rather than merely a cheaper-sounding one.
Where we differ
Per page, not per conversion
Billing per conversion means a two-page statement and a forty-page statement cost the same. Their published individual plan is $24.95 for five conversions, which is about $5 each. At $0.05 a page, a five-page statement costs us $0.25 to convert — and only pages carrying transactions are counted at all.
The cost does not depend on how you split the file
Under per-conversion pricing, converting a year as twelve monthly statements costs twelve times converting it as one. Per-page pricing removes that incentive to game the file, which is a strange thing to have to think about when you are just trying to do the books.
Reconciliation on every conversion
Row-by-row against the statement’s own balance, with the source line shown for anything flagged. Not an add-on and not a separate product.
The thing we cannot offer
We are new. DocuClipper and ProperSoft have been doing this for years and have the reviews to show for it; we do not. What we can offer instead of a track record is a free tier big enough to test on your own statements — three pages a day without an account, ten a month with one — and a product that tells you when it is unsure rather than presenting every conversion as finished.
Questions
- Which is cheaper?
- It depends entirely on your statements. Per-conversion pricing favours long statements converted rarely; per-page favours short ones converted often. Work it out on a month of your own files rather than on a headline rate.
- Do you do income verification for lenders?
- Not as a purpose-built workflow. We convert and reconcile statements; the analysis is yours to do. If you need the analysis built in, they are the more direct answer today.
How this page was researched
Everything here about other tools was read from their own public pricing and marketing pages in September 2026. We did not create accounts, so nothing on this page claims anything about their accuracy, their output quality or their support — only about what they publish. Prices change; check theirs before deciding.
