Terms of service
Plain terms for a tool that converts bank statements. Read the section on accuracy — it is the one that matters most.

What this service is
Gizmoop Document converts PDF bank and credit card statements into accounting formats — Excel, CSV, QBO, QFX, OFX, QIF, IIF and Tally XML — and checks the extracted rows against the statement’s own balances before you export them.
It is a conversion tool. It is not accounting, tax or financial advice, and it does not replace the professional judgement of whoever signs off the books.
Accuracy, and what reconciliation does and does not promise
Extraction is not perfect and we do not claim it is. What we do is check: every conversion is run against the statement’s running balance and printed totals, and any row that does not reconcile is flagged at that row rather than averaged away. Clicking a row shows you the line it came from on the original page.
That catches a great deal and it does not catch everything. A statement can be internally consistent and still have been read wrongly. You are responsible for reviewing the output before it enters your books, and the review interface exists to make that possible rather than to make it unnecessary.
Your account
You need an account to download in most formats, and you are responsible for what happens under yours. Sign-in is by emailed link or Google, so keep access to that address secure.
One account is for one person. Team seats are a separate matter and are not yet available.
Your files, and what you may convert
You keep every right in the documents you convert. We claim nothing in them and acquire no licence to them beyond what is needed to perform the conversion you asked for.
You must have the right to the statements you upload. Converting documents you are not entitled to hold is not something this tool is for.
Plans, pages and payment
Plans are billed monthly or annually and include a page allowance for the period. Only pages that contain transactions are counted — cover pages, terms and blank pages are not.
Payments are processed by Paddle, which acts as merchant of record. Paddle is the seller on the transaction and its terms apply to the payment itself.
Refunds are covered separately, on the refund policy page.
Fair use
The free and guest tiers exist so people can try the product on real files. They are not a way to run a conversion business, and we may limit or suspend accounts that automate against the service or work around the page allowance.
Availability
We aim to keep the service up and we do not guarantee it. Digital statements are converted in your browser, so much of the product keeps working even when our servers do not — scanned statements, saved history and downloads of stored files do not.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, our liability for any claim arising from your use of this service is limited to what you paid us for it in the twelve months before the claim.
We are not liable for consequential losses — decisions taken on converted data, filings made from it, or business lost. This is why the terms ask you to review the output, and why the product is built to make reviewing it quick.
Ending it
You can stop using the service and close your account at any time; doing so deletes your statements and stored files. We may suspend an account that breaches these terms, and will say why where we can.
