Gizmoop vs Documentric

The closest competitor to what we are building — newer than DocuClipper, priced well below it, and already ranking.

Pick Documentric if…

Choose Documentric if your bank is covered by one of their pages and not by ours, or if CSV, Excel and QBO are the only formats you will ever need.

Pick Gizmoop if…

Choose us if you need a format they do not publish, or if you want to be told which row broke rather than that the statement did not balance.

Published prices

Monthly prices are not comparable when the allowances differ, so the per-page rate is worked out from each vendor’s own published numbers.

What Documentric does better

They are ahead of us on content and coverage

Their site is larger than ours, covers more banks, and has been indexed for longer. If you search for your bank by name, you are more likely to find their page than ours today.

Vertical pages that speak to a profession

They write for accountants, lenders, family law and financial investigators specifically rather than for "everyone with a PDF". That is a genuinely better way to sell this, and we are following them on it rather than pretending otherwise.

A clear, well-documented QuickBooks path

They state their export is OFX 1.0.2 and document both the QuickBooks Online and Desktop import routes. That is more than most tools in this category bother to explain.

Where we differ

Eight formats against three

Their published exports are CSV, Excel and QBO. We add QFX, OFX, QIF, IIF and Tally XML. If you are on Quicken, on QuickBooks Desktop needing IIF, or on Tally, they do not currently have a format for you.

Reconciliation at the row, not the total

Their published check is an aggregate one — opening plus net equals printed closing, with the whole statement flagged if it does not. Ours walks the running balance row by row, falls back to page subtotals and then to printed totals, and names the first row where the ledger breaks. An aggregate check tells you something is wrong; this tells you where.

The converter is on the page

Their bank pages link out to a dashboard. Ours run the converter on the page you landed on, so you can test a statement before deciding anything.

About 20% cheaper at every matched tier

We deliberately matched their page volumes so the comparison is arithmetic rather than argument: $15 against $19 at 300 pages, $39 against $49 at 900, $99 against $129 at 2,500.

The thing we cannot offer

We are new. DocuClipper and ProperSoft have been doing this for years and have the reviews to show for it; we do not. What we can offer instead of a track record is a free tier big enough to test on your own statements — three pages a day without an account, ten a month with one — and a product that tells you when it is unsure rather than presenting every conversion as finished.

Questions

You are copying their page structure. Why should I trust your comparison?
Because we are saying so. Their vertical and feature pages are a better idea than what we had planned, and we adopted them. Where they are ahead, this page says they are ahead.
What does "reconciliation at the row" actually change?
On a statement of 180 transactions with one misread digit, an aggregate check tells you the total is out by some amount. A row-level check tells you it is row 47, and shows you what the bank printed on that line so you can fix it in seconds.
Do they support Tally or Quicken?
Not from what they publish. Their exports are CSV, Excel and QBO as of September 2026. Check their site before relying on this.

How this page was researched

Everything here about other tools was read from their own public pricing and marketing pages in September 2026. We did not create accounts, so nothing on this page claims anything about their accuracy, their output quality or their support — only about what they publish. Prices change; check theirs before deciding.
