Questions

Which voucher type is used?
Receipt for credits and Payment for debits, against the bank ledger you name. Contra and Journal are available where a transfer needs them.
Do Indian number formats parse correctly?
Yes. Lakh and crore grouping — 1,23,456.78 — is handled, as is the standard western grouping, and the format is locked per statement rather than guessed row by row.
