No cap on how long a statement can be
Several tools in this category cap their free tier at fifteen pages per document. A business current account statement is routinely longer than that, so their free tier fails on the first file anyone actually wants to convert — which is, presumably, the point. There is no per-document limit here. A forty-page statement counts forty pages against your allowance and converts in full.
Only pages carrying transactions are counted at all. Cover pages, terms and the notices at the back do not come out of your allowance.
Questions
- Is my statement uploaded anywhere?
- A digital PDF — what your bank gives you when you download a statement — is read entirely in your browser and is not uploaded. Only a scanned statement, which has no text layer to read, is sent to a server, and you are told before that happens.
- What is the catch?
- Downloading needs a free account. Converting and reviewing does not. Beyond ten pages a month there are paid plans, and if you never exceed it you never pay.
- Do I need a card for the free account?
- No. There is no card on the free tier and no trial that converts into a subscription.
- Which formats can I export free?
- CSV and Excel on the free account. QBO, QFX, QIF, IIF and Tally XML are on the paid plans.
