For lenders and underwriters
An applicant’s statements are evidence. Anything derived from them inherits whatever was lost in the reading, and the decision is made on the derived figure rather than on the page.
The job
Establish what actually goes into and out of an applicant’s account, over some months, well enough to lend against. The statements arrive as PDFs, sometimes as photographs of printouts, from banks whose layouts you do not control.
Why a missing transaction matters more here
In bookkeeping a dropped row is an error to be found later. In underwriting it changes the answer. A missed regular outgoing overstates disposable income; a missed deposit understates it; either can flip a decision, and neither is visible in a spreadsheet that otherwise looks complete. And unlike a bookkeeper, you have no independent ledger to reconcile against — the statement is the only record you have.
What this does about it
The statement checks itself
The statement’s own running balance is the independent check you lack. Every consecutive pair is verified: previous balance plus this amount equals this balance. A transaction dropped anywhere in the file breaks that chain at exactly the row where it should have been, so completeness is demonstrated rather than assumed.
An audit trail back to the page
Every row records which page and which printed line it came from, and clicking it shows you. When a decision is questioned months later, the figure can be traced to the document it came from rather than defended from memory.
Structured data, not a picture of a table
Dates normalised, amounts as exact integers rather than floating point, signs resolved regardless of how the bank laid out its debit and credit columns. Excel or CSV out, ready for whatever model you assess with.
Applicant documents handled deliberately
Digital statements are read in the browser and never uploaded. Retention is a setting, including storing nothing at all, and expired data is deleted daily. There is a data processing agreement for the compliance review.
There is no scoring, and no affordability model
This produces verified transaction data. It does not compute income, classify deposits as salary, flag gambling, score affordability or make a recommendation. Tools built specifically for lending do those things and do them better; if that is what you need, they are the more direct answer and we would rather point at them than imply otherwise.
Try it on a statement
Three pages a day without an account. A digital statement is read in your browser and is not uploaded.

Questions
- Can it prove a statement has not been altered?
- No, and be careful of anything claiming to. Reconciliation proves the arithmetic on the page is internally consistent — which a well-made forgery would also satisfy, since altering a statement convincingly means altering the balances too. It is evidence of extraction quality, not of document authenticity.
- What about photographed statements?
- Those go through the scanned path, read by a vision model. Accuracy is lower than on a text-layer PDF, which is exactly why reconciliation runs on every one of them.
- Can we get the data into our own system?
- Through CSV or Excel today. There is no API yet — if you need one now, tools that lead with an API are the better fit.
